WASHINGTON, D.C.: TAP PARTICIPATES IN EVENT ON DEMOCRACY IN BRAZIL

Television Association of Programmers Latin America (TAP) attended a Wilson Center event on “Corruption, Accountability and Democracy in Brazil: Challenges and Solutions” in Washington, D.C.



On Monday, April 3rd, TAP Government Relations Director Vanessa Perez attended an Event on “Corruption, Accountability and Democracy in Brazil: Challenges and Solutions” in Washington, D.C. The event was hosted by the Wilson Center’s Brazil Institute, which works to foster understanding of Brazil’s complex reality and to support more consequential relations between Brazilian and U.S. institutions in all sectors.



The event featured Minister of the Office of Comptroller General of Brazil Vinícius Marques de Carvalho, who is at the forefront of increasing government transparency and addressing corruption and other threats to democracy. Among the institution’s responsibilities are controlling public corruption and coordinating the release of documents related to the January 8 assault on Brazil’s presidential palace, Congress and Supreme Court.
