NEW YORK: TAP SPONSORS EVENT FOR COLOMBIAN FINANCE MINISTER

Gustavo Pupo-Mayo engages Minister Ocampo

September 16th, 2022: TAP co-sponsored an off-the-record event with Minister of Finance Jose Antonio Ocampo in New York City. At the time that Colombia is considering a new tax reform, TAP raised the importance of maintaining current audiovisual incentives that provide tax credits to foreign investors. Gustavo Pupo-Mayo, TAP Chairman, emphasized the growth and dynamism of the Colombian audiovisual industry has been made possible by the current framework, which serves as a best-practice at a regional level. Minister Ocampo is the driving force behind the Petro administration’s effort to raise an additional US$4 billion yearly through changes to the tax system.
